High Definition Plasma Cutting

Precision CNC plasma cutting for plate and pipe. Clean edges, tight tolerances, and fast turnaround for single parts or large production runs.

Precision Cutting Built for Industrial Work

Southeast Mechanical operates high definition CNC plasma cutting equipment for both plate and pipe, in a wide range of materials and thicknesses. Whether you need one custom part cut to a drawing or hundreds of identical pieces for a production run, we handle it in house with the same standard of accuracy every time.

Our plasma cutting table handles sheet material up to 12 feet by 20 feet, from 14 gauge all the way up to 2 inches thick. Parts come off the table clean, ground, and ready to use or assemble.

What We Do With It

We handle a wide variety of plasma cutting work including:

  • Single custom parts cut to your drawing or to a sample you bring in

  • Large batch production runs, sometimes hundreds of pieces at a time

  • Pipe and tube cutting using our 3D rotating plasma table, pieces come off ready to weld with no additional prep needed

  • Parts used in equipment fabrication, piping assemblies, and structural projects

What We Cut

We handle a wide variety of plasma cutting work including:

  • Mild steel

  • Stainless steel

  • Aluminum

  • Hardened steel and specialty grade

Thickness range: 14 gauge up to 2 inches thick.

Have a Part That Needs Cutting?

Bring us your drawing, your DXF file, or a physical part you need duplicated. If you are not sure about specs or materials just call us and we will walk you through it.

  • SEM runs a Hypertherm HyPerformance HPRXD high definition plasma cutter on a large water filled Lone Star table. The water table reduces warpage on thin plate, which is why we can cut material as thin as 14 gauge cleanly. For pipe and tube we have a separate 3D rotating CNC plasma cutting table.

Hypertherm's True Hole technology produces bolt ready holes in mild steel with no taper, minimal dross, and very little cleanup required. Parts come off the table ready to go.

  • We keep a variety of plate sizes in stock so we can move fast. Turnaround depends on quantity, material, and whether additional fabrication is needed after cutting, but many jobs are same day. Larger production runs typically run a few days to a week. Call us and we will give you a straight answer on timing.

  • Our plasma cutting customers range from large steel mills needing production runs of hundreds of identical components, to smaller local businesses and walk in customers who need a single custom part cut that they do not have the equipment to produce themselves. We also cut parts internally that feed into our own piping, structural, and equipment fabrication work.

Customers can bring drawings, DXF files, or even a physical part they need duplicated. If you bring us the part we will pull the measurements and create the drawing ourselves.

  • We do not just hand you a raw cut part. Every piece gets ground and cleaned. We can also do additional finishing including sandblasting and painting if needed.
