Meet Joey Olin,
Owner and Founder
Joey Olin started Southeast Mechanical in 2009 with a simple belief that skilled tradespeople deserved a place built around doing things right. What began under his garage, moving plate and pipe around with a motor lift, has grown into a 32-person operation serving some of the most demanding industrial facilities on the East Coast. Thirty years in the trades will do that for you.
Before founding SEM, Joey worked as a pipe fitter and in HVAC, so he knows this work from the ground up, literally. That hands on background shapes everything about how he runs the company today. Joey is not the kind of owner who manages from a distance. He is known for setting the standard in both the quality of the work and the way people are treated, and when something needs to get done he is not above getting in there and getting dirty alongside the crew.
What Joey is most proud of is not a single project or milestone. It is the fact that the standards SEM was built on in 2009 are still in practice today, even when he is not in the room. That says everything about the team he has built.
When he is not working you will find Joey fishing, hunting, or cooking BBQ for the people he cares about. And in Joey's own words - thanks to everyone who’s employed at SEM for all they do to make this possible!
